Literature Text

Of frail divinity he collapsed
Untouched by mortal hands he was sent to beyond
As he cried oceans rised
Unstilled, the waves turned grey where he went

He now turned into a lesser extent
Alas, his godhood was only half
While the other was forever lost
Mere, his soul in subliminal despair
Sent overseas to a place unknown
A fate he hadn't foreseen

Oh, what had he done
To deserve this crippled mess of misfortune
Oh, what destiny he got
For ages to come to be sentenced to beyond

Through watery eyes he saw a tower so lone
In the midst of a fiery sea and under a thundering above
The tower was untouched by waves and lightnings
For it was a legendary building only told in songs and tales

Through the only window he came
Looking around as if searching for something
But the only thing he saw was a simple bed
But the only thing there was a chair facing the window

For days, his only companion was his loneliness
For days, he looked into the dark corners

But one day a subtle change in the colours
And the sunlight came through the window
Oh, how beautiful it was
Oh, how much he had wished for another pace in his soul
He slithered forward, barely able to walk
The chair came to his rescue as the sun yet again disappeared

But his eyes had seen a beautiful dream take form
A new wish he made to see the light again

To his savior he put his trust in again
And waited for the sun to shine once more
For days he waited, looking out of the window
For days he waited, still in his place

And one day there was a change in the colours
Again the sunlight came through the window
Oh, how beautiful it was
Oh, and the pace in his soul was changed as he had wished for
He smiled as the sun lit his skin
It seemed to last forever before it hid behind the clouds

The days grew longer as he sat at the window
The grey became greater as he looked beyond the clouds
As he withered away his smile still in his face
As he came forgotten his dream was still fulfilled
His loneliness was only a myth
In the Tower of Solitude
Listened to the whole album "Beyond The Grave" by In Lacrimaes Et Dolor, and the song is meant to be sang in a doom metal-ish way. If you want to use this or any of my lyrics, please contact me about it first.

Edit(26/6 - 2017): The song is about a god that had been sentenced to be imprisoned in The Tower of Solitude for the rest of his life. For what? We don't know. Was he guilty? We don't know.
He lives in the tower so long everything becomes colorless and tasteless to him. He loses the meaning of existance.
But suddenly, for a single moment, the sun shines upon him. Through the clouds, through the window, upon him. That alone contrasts to his lifeless everyday, and he regain his reason to exist. The sun, as soon as it appears, fades back behind the clouds, and the world(to him) becomes gray again. He then waits for the light, the sun, to once more shine upon him, no matter how long it will take.
And when the sun once again shines upon him, he is content. His dream fulfilled, he slowly dies, forgotten by even those who imprisoned him.

What I interpret it as: This story is about the difference between loneliness and solitude, and how powerful a different perspective to a situation can be.
